Q: What types of sarees does Varkala Silk Sarees offer?
A: We specialise in Paithani sarees and offer Maharani Paithani, Muniya Paithani, Kadiyal Paithani, Double Pallu Paithani and Nauvari Paithani sarees. Available designs and colours may change from time to time.
Q: Are your Paithani sarees made from pure silk?
A: Our product range mainly includes silk-blend Paithani sarees. They should not be considered pure-silk sarees unless specifically mentioned on the product page. Please check the fabric composition before ordering.
Q: Are the sarees handloom or powerloom woven?
A: Most of our Paithani sarees are powerloom woven with traditional-inspired motifs and zari work. Please check the weave details mentioned on the individual product page.
Q: What type of zari is used in your sarees?
A: Many of our Paithani sarees are woven with copper zari. Zari specifications may vary according to the design, so please check the individual product description.
Q: Does every saree include a blouse piece?
A: Most sarees include an unstitched blouse piece. A standard Paithani saree generally includes approximately 5.5 metres of saree fabric and an 80 cm blouse piece. Please confirm the measurements on the product page.
Q: Is the blouse stitched?
A: No. Unless specifically mentioned otherwise, the included blouse piece is unstitched. Blouse stitching is not included with the saree.
Q: Are Nauvari Paithani sarees ready to wear?
A: No. Our Nauvari Paithani sarees are traditional unstitched nine-yard sarees and are not pre-stitched or ready to wear. They generally include approximately 8.5 metres of saree fabric and an 80 cm unstitched blouse piece.
Q: Will the saree colour look exactly the same as shown online?
A: We make every effort to display colours accurately. However, the actual colour may vary slightly because of photography, studio lighting and differences in mobile or computer screen settings.
Q: Are the model images and product images of the same saree?
A: The images are intended to represent the listed product. Motif placement or minor weaving details may vary slightly between individual pieces because of the production process.
Q: Which occasions are Paithani sarees suitable for?
A: Paithani sarees are suitable for weddings, parties, Gudi Padwa, Makar Sankranti, Holi, Ganesh Chaturthi and Diwali. They are also popular for Mangala Gauri, Haldi Kumkum, Dohale Jevan, Rakshabandhan, anniversaries and traditional gifting.

Q: Which payment methods do you accept?
A: The available payment options are displayed at checkout. These may include prepaid online payments and Cash on Delivery for eligible orders and serviceable PIN codes.
Q: Is Cash on Delivery available for every order?
A: Cash on Delivery is available only for eligible orders and serviceable locations. COD orders may require confirmation through OTP, WhatsApp or phone before dispatch.
Q: How will I know that my order is confirmed?
A: After successful checkout, you will receive an order confirmation through the contact details entered during checkout. COD orders may be confirmed only after the required verification is completed.

Q: What should I do if the package appears damaged or tampered with?
A: Please do not accept a visibly opened or tampered package. If damage is noticed after delivery, keep the product, tags and packaging intact and contact us immediately with clear photographs and an unedited parcel-opening video.

Q: Can I return or exchange a saree?
A: Eligible products may be returned or exchanged according to the Return and Refund Policy available on our website. The saree must be unused, unworn, unwashed and in its original condition with all tags and packaging intact.
Q: How do I request a return or exchange?
A: Contact our support team within the period specified in our Return and Refund Policy. Share your order number, reason for the request and supporting photographs or videos where required. Do not send the parcel without receiving return instructions.
Q: What if I receive a wrong, damaged or defective product?
A: Contact us immediately and share your order number, clear photographs and an unedited parcel-opening video showing the shipping label, sealed package and product condition. Our team will assist you after verification.
Q: When will I receive my refund?
A: Approved refunds are initiated after the returned product is received and passes quality inspection. The time required for the amount to appear may depend on your bank or payment provider.
Saree Care
Q: How should I wash and store my Paithani saree?
A: We recommend dry cleaning for the first wash. Afterwards, follow the care instructions on the product page or label. If gentle hand washing is permitted, use cold water and mild detergent. Do not soak or wring the saree. Dry it in the shade and store it folded in a clean, dry place.
Q: Can I iron the saree at home?
A: Use low heat and iron the saree from the reverse side with a cotton cloth placed between the iron and the saree. Avoid applying direct high heat to zari, motifs and decorative work.
